CBPLA rigorously challenges the diverse Camden City student population, one at a time, as they forge relationships with the community and pursue their interests in the real world through internships. This starts by giving students the opportunity to learn in a place where they are known and know each other well and people treat each other with respect. It continues by designing a personalized learning plan for each student, providing real-world opportunities to connect their interest to their learning, and expecting them to find authentic, meaningful ways to show what they have learned. It culminates in graduating self-directed thinkers and learners with the skills necessary to succeed in college and beyond.
